How long will continuous cloud recording remain after recorded, 7 days, 14 Days before they are replaced by new recordings ? The :raccoon: gang needs to know how long they have the behave.

I am not sure yet, I do not have the details, I will get those closer to when the app side is released.

I just updated all my V3 cameras to firmware 4.36.16.7064. All the basic stuff (live view, SD card playback and viewing Cloud Event videos) is working well.

I did mine yesterday no :collision:
This must be part of the pending/future continuous cloud recording mentioned. If it is a choice of either SD card or cloud I will keep the SD cards, both would be nice.

Since Wyze discontinued new signups for Cam Plus Lite 12 second Cloud Event videos, i imagine Continuous Cloud Recording with be an additional subscription charge.

SD card Continuous Recording is working fine for me. My oldest High Endurance card is 4.5 years old and still working great.

Agree, there has to be :money_bag: :money_bag: :money_bag: involved some how.

They are a business. Of course money is involved. They didn’t get into business for friendships.

We have to decide if the feature is worth the price. Like everything in our lives. It’s the nature of the market.

Everyone likes to complain about a company trying to find another revenue stream… Yet, everyone of us does the same thing in our jobs. Increase profit, more business, innovate product.

Let’s stop clutching our pearls when the possibility of price/feature being added to the products. It’s a ridiculous conversation in capitalism.

Especially with Wyze. These products and services are priced very, very competitively with everyone.

You make all great points. My post above was not a complaint, just stating I think there will be an additional subscription charge for Continuous Cloud Recording and that feature would not be worth it for me.

Now if Wyze were to cripple SD card recording to force users to subscribe to Continuous Cloud Recording, then I would complain.

 No Pearl Clutching here, If I want somethinng I will pay for it. I have a substantial :raccoon: forever income.

I think this firmware really improved the microphone on my v3’s. I have noticed a big difference on my bird feeder cam.

That’s great to hear! They’ve gotten feedback for years about the microphone issues on the V3! I was convinced it was a hardware issue at this point! I’m going to update and see if a few are improved. It often doesn’t even pick up sounds in cases every other cam does.

Keep us posted as to your impression. Personally, I think it is a vast improvement.

I have not received the V3 Pro update yet, but I did update ten V3 cameras, and only had problem with the one on my garage door. It never finished the firmware update. I waited 30 minutes, then got a ladder and unplugged it, waited 20 seconds, then plugged it back in. It came up with the new firmware. Seems to open the garage door too.

M V3 Pro firrmware showed up yesterday 7/19/26. Camera is still working without any issues.

Updated one Panv3 for testing. Sadly, still no fix to the 10-15 second delay before it starts streaming (just shows a still frame during that time). I’d think this would be a big priority to fix since many people use these cams to see who is at the door, etc. Camv4 has the same bug, and its been going on for a long time now, I want to say even into last year.

I haven’t experienced this with either of those models (Cam Pan v3 and Cam v4) and haven’t seen a lot of users report that specific occurrence, so I’m not sure what the scope of the issue is.

I’ve seen it mentioned by others as well. Perhaps related to certain Android versions or something. But it started with an app update quite a while ago and wasn’t an issue in the 2.5 app (up until the 2.5 app stopped working due to Verified View). I actually think it was around the time VV was implemented in firmware that the issue started.

Actually I just checked and the v4 seems to no longer be having the issue, maybe a recent app update fixed that. But Panv3 still does it. First time loading the live stream, it is a still frame from right when you load the stream for about 10 seconds, then blinks and goes live. If exiting the stream and going back in, it is black for around that same amount of time before it starts streaming.

It isn’t obvious due to showing a “current” still frame during that time.

Maybe with subscription the cam is kept more “active” and this only affects SD card users? Just a random guess. And that’s not conspiracy theory, just a possible technical explanation.

Perhaps there are two versions of the Panv3 - one with SD card issues and one with delayed live stream

That’s so weird, and it’s not something I’ve experienced or am able to replicate. I have been using subscriptions for a while, so that’s definitely a difference, though I don’t know that it accounts for what you’re describing, and I certainly wouldn’t expect subscribers to have a different live stream experience than non-subscribers. This is really an odd one, and I’d be interested in seeing more users report the same thing if it’s an actual bug.

Unrelated to the subscription thing, I’ve been gradually moving devices to a separate IoT Wi-Fi SSID with device isolation, and subjectively it seems like my Cams load their live streams significantly faster since I’ve been doing that. Even before doing that, though, I just haven’t seen this 10-to-15-second delay. Weird.

This Cam Pan v3 firmware did not resolve that for me.
