No I have not. Is your Air Purifiers still going off-line? Mine has been solid.
My two still regularly drop offline
Can someone please tell us what to do with these now units? Should we just return them as defective due to the last update to the firmware? Iāve tried everything and nothing stops them from disconnecting from my system. I have 3 of these.
Out of the 100+ devices Iāve bought. These worked fine until the last update and there has been nothing done yet to fix them.
Mine still stops reporting indoor AQI about every 3 to 4 days. Requires a power cycle to get it restarted
Mine still go offline, too. Frequently.
At this point Iām thinking a refund is in order. Itās been over 6 months and my āsmart air purifiersā have never once been smart. Itās only temporarily connected to WiFi when I power cycle or readd it to my account. The outdoor aqi has never worked.
The cherry on top: no communication from Wyze.
Iām not one to complain on the forums but at this point Iām not sure what else there is to do to get Wyze to pay attention to this issue. Maybe forcing their hand with refunds is the way to go?
Over the last year and a half, Wyze exchanged two units for me because of the connectivity and AQI updating issues. It made no difference. It seems like the issue affects numerous customers, and it feels like Wyze is trying to ignore the issue. Hopefully the moderator that assisted in getting the logs submitted can check and let the forum know about any updates.
Have you had an opportunity to check in with Wyze to see if they are actively working on this? Thanks in advance!
I have not heard from them. As a forum member, I donāt always get the feedback. I will reach out again and see.
Thanks very much.
My unit is experiencing the same issues. It occasionally drops from WIFI and I have to unplug/replug it. It also does NOT update the AQI number on the screen after a while (usually gets stuck on UNHEALTHY with a high AQI). The graph with the history is blank too. I am running 1.0.18.0 since 8/2/2024 when it was installed. This is a GREAT product and is reasonably priced with replacement filters available on Amazon. Wyze, please let someone spend a day and fix this.
I agree. I was cautiously optimistic when the forum moderator assited in getting some logs accepted by Wyze back in October of 2024. No newa or updates since then. This is why i havenāt expanded my Wyze device ecosystem and donāt recommend Wyze to family and friends anymore. It appears we were ghosted again.
I finally connected my purifier through one of my spare Wyze plugs (little workhorses, those things!) so every time the purifier starts to act up, it toggle the plug to reset it. I can do it from anywhere,
I just did that also. Better then the plug pull option. Too bad no firmware fix.
Just wanted to drop an update on my situation with the air purifier. The unplug and reset to restore wifi connection no longer works for my unit. No matter what I do, the wifi no longer even exists. Meaning, no icon that lights up on the unit, nor does it ever connect to the app (in case it was just the LED that stopped working). Itās as if it came without wifi to begin with.
On another note, Iām pretty tired of things like this happening and I can honestly tell you that it has hampered me from purchasing any new Wyze products, including cameras (which usually are pretty solid).
After over a year of a smart product being not actually being smart or providing the features in the advertisements, Iām fed up. I needed to buy another air purifier today and wyze was not even in consideration. Fix your product.
Iām about to switch as well. The fact that my 3 air purifiers not working or operating correctly has never been corrected. They donāt care at all! Toss my money away!
I agree. I got a new one only by pestering then and the new one does the same thing. Itās the last firmware update, they know itās bad but wonāt fix it. Nor can you roll it back to previous firmware. They donāt care
