Firmware updates - Released 4/15/2024

Is anyone still having any connectivity issues on this Air Purifier firmware? Mine have been stable for a few weeks, so I am guessing it was resolved on the back end.

However, I have not been getting the AQI logs, and I was getting it before this firmware and now I’m not, and ironically restoring AQI logs was supposed to be one of the main purposes of this firmware.

Just curious if others are seeing the same now.

All of mine have been going offline in less than 24 hours since applying firmware 1.0.18.0. Same with AQI logs… absent since firmware update.

I’ll try to do a reset as a test later this evening.

Mine are the same. The only way to keep them connected at least is to set a time off and time on during the day for 5 minutes and it keeps it connected at least. Aqi is not always correct. Funny, before I had no issues and after that firmware it blew it. I’ve tried unplugging it as well for a day. I’ll take one off the schedule and see if it remains connected

Same here.

This Air Purifier connectivity/AQI issue needs to go on the August “Fix-it Friday” list!

I now have two units and both are dropping offline. No aqi or wrong aqi reports

Agreed! This is why I wanted to see how prevalent the issue(s) still exist. I’m going to make a bookmark reminder, but I will be on vacation this coming Friday, so someone else should also plan to bring this up please just in case. :crossed_fingers:

Also bookmarked and I’ll get it done if you don’t. :+1:

After the last firmware update my purifier stopped reporting AQI readings after 72 hours. Tried reset, reinstalled still stopped. Reported to wyze support there was a firmware issue and uploaded log files. No response from them. Reported again, told them was working before firmware update. They sent out a new unit, updated to latest firmware and exact same issue. Only unplugging every 3 days or so seems to clear it out. Very frustrating dealing with support.

I got an air purifier a week and a half ago and I am also having this issue.

Bump. Any updates on a fix??

None

I spoke too soon. My purifier has now been disconnecting about once every 36-48 hours and I can’t tell you the last time I saw any AQI data plotted on the AQI history graph.

The only work around is to unplug it wait a few seconds and plug it back in.

Yeah, until it disconnects again in 1-2 days

Whatever they did with that April firmware update absolutely torched the connectivity/accuracy of what the app reports.

Yep, and no response from support. I have stopped adding to my Wyze ecosystem. Lots of issues with firmware across their product lines.

Have the same issues as SolarDave every week, having to uninstall and re-establish the WiFi connection with the Wyze app. My Wyze air purifier is literally 15 feet away in the dorect line of sight from my Amplify Alien WiFi 6 router, but the connection keeps dropping. Has Wyze addressed this issue yet? The Wyze Air Purifiers just went on sale; was thinking of getting a 2nd one, but not if this software bug can’t be solved.

I too have this issue.
Oddly, it didn’t start to fall off the wifi intil i replaced my router with a brand new wyze 6e mesh router. I used the same ssid setup so all wyze products moved to new router without any issues.

I’ve had this issue for over a year. They just go offline randomly. I have 2 of them. I don’t have issues with my cameras losing connection or my bulbs, but these air purifiers…

At least they’re somewhat easy to get reconnected. But I wish they’d figure out what’s causing the frequent disconnects.
