For me the beta is working OK (Chrome, Win10). But two nits:
1 - When I haven’t looked at the camera for a while (hours or days) I get the “Please log into your account” whenever I hit Live stream - Wyze
2 - Then I get a black window and need to hit the Play button in the middle to start the stream.
This seems like two completely needless steps that slow me (and presumably everyone) down.
Can’t you save a cookie identifying my PC and not ask me to login again every time? (All I want to see is my driveway - it’s not exactly top-secret info). It’s even worse with 2FA enabled (I turned that off).
I understand some customers may not want it that easily accessible - fine; make it optional.
And why not just start playing immediately without waiting for the Play button to be clicked? I don’t see any point in that - I can’t imagine why I wouldn’t want to see the live feed once I hit the page.
I use the Wyse cam to check my driveway (and will be adding a doorbell). It’s important to be able to get a live view quickly without a lot of needless delaying steps - I’d like to be able to just double-click the link on my desktop and have the video come up without me needing to do anything else.
For me the dimmed snapshots of each event are too dim - I can’t tell if there’s anything I want to see in the event or not (without highlighting with the mouse).
I suggest instead don’t dim the snapshots, just change the color of the background to show which event is selected with the mouse.
I have exactly the same problem I don’t ask for much just a continuous feed on my PC but everyday I have to log in I pay for cam plus so I can view on PC I won’t be paying for it anymore
@leeebradford did you ever figure anything out to use a continuous feed on PC? Iv recently started trying to use the live view site. And it works at first. But when I come back to it the feed is errored or froze. Seems like WYZE or Amazon AWS has a timer on the feed or feeds. I use the live view site for three V3’s. I really wish I could figure it out. Using the site is much more preffered than constantly running three android VM’s on my desktop to have all three feeds live on one of my monitors.
Hi still have the same problem it’s frustrating because I only paid for cam plus to view on PC I find that incognito window will give you the longest time I’m going to cancel cam Plus and put blue stacks on PC I can then run the app on PC it’s not ideal I don’t like BlueStacks but will resolve the problem
@leeebradford
Yea that’s the setup I use too, Bluestacks. Bluestacks is known to have its issues and it does. But the newer versions have improved ALOT. Gotta make sure your processor has enough extra cores to give at least one core to each VM instance. Bluestacks will eat up quit a bit of RAM of course. I keep at least 12 GB for my OS to use(but 6 -8 GB is enough) And I personally assign 2500 MB to each instance. But yea as of right now bluestack emulator cloned 3x is working better for me then the live website. I don’t like how you have to cam plus assigned to the user profile to use the live view site. I shared my cams to a second email of mine so that I can have a monitor in my living room with the feeds running. But I’m not going to use and be logged into my main account on the open monitor in living room. To avoid anyone messing with the permissions and settings.
@epnh
You can login into your WYZE account and view your live streams, and events at https:/auth.wyze.com/login.
There going in the right direction with it I believe. But it’s, at this moment very young and basic. Iv just been using it a little bit on Edge but almost always on Firefox since its a little lighter and runs with just one process. Hopefully they plan on adding more of a user permissions control section. And the ability to scrub forward and backwards through your footage like you can on the app. Probably won’t though considering they would have to keep everyone’s recent 12 hours of footage loaded on Amazon. Which would cost alot more money and resources I do believe.
I agree, after hours or a full day, it logs you out. Or either all my feeds are froze up. And the refresh button on my browser wont fix it. I have to click my bookmark for the page and reload that way or it wont refresh.
And yea why do I have to click play lol thats what im here to do…view my feeds. But im sure it gets billed by usage on number of feeds live and the minute amount or something like that. So if im only really wanting my outside driveway cam up and live thats the only one there having to pay for me utilizing instead of all three of my feeds. But also we are paying for a subscription it should function a little better. But again it is the BETA. Im sure WYZE will polish off Wyze-Live View soon as they can.
I use two factor as well and also on my google account which how i login. And mine usually dont make me 2f authenticate if i keep firefox window open.
