So I hardwired my new duo to existing doorbell wiring. I installed jumper between the two wires in mechanical house chime. Am using the provided wyze plug in chime. Is there anything else I need to do? Everything seems to be working as intended.
Should be all set assuming your existing wiring was all done correctly (which isn’t always the case). I’d say just make sure the mechanical chime doesn’t have the plungers up against the metal chime plates (signifying it thinks the button is being constantly pushed) and both the mechanical chime and transformer are not humming a lot or getting excessively hot.
If none of the above is the case your wiring is correct and should be all set.
