I’m trying to set up detection on my new Duo. I noticed that in the detection Zone it seems like the pictures are swapped. The picture for the detection Zone for the pan cam is actually the fixed camera and the fixed camera is the pan camera. Is anyone else seeing the same thing?
Maybe DZ is only for the fixed camera? But if it’s really swapped, I wouldn’t be surprised. It’s Wyze.

I don’t have a Duo Cam Pan, but I’ve watched the official unboxing video (link cued to the section about settings), and I wonder if you’re 100% certain that you’re selecting the Pan Cam and Fixed Cam when adjusting settings. You probably are, but I bring this up because the UI can sometimes be confusing, and occasionally users have mistakenly reported that they’re doing Continuous microSD recording when they actually have (and a screenshot will show that they have) Events Only selected or vice versa.
I also wonder how you have the camera mounted/installed, if you have Rotate Image 180° enabled, and if that’s potentially causing a problem, like maybe the camera views aren’t correctly registering with the app and that’s a real bug? I’m just speculating at this point.
What did Support say when you contacted them?
I have it mounted upright with no rotation. If I click on fixed, the button becomes white but the pan camera picture is shown. The opposite is true if I select the pan camera.
Thanks for the additional information. ![]()
I can’t account for your experience, and, like I said, I don’t have one of these, but maybe someone who does will chime in with some input. In the meantime, I think I’d be inclined to log it and then open a ticket with that Log ID to see what Support says about it.
Thanks for pointing this out — sorry for the confusion!
Would you mind submitting a log through the app so we can take a closer look? It would also be super helpful if you could include a screenshot of your detection settings showing the issue. That’ll help us troubleshoot more effectively.
Thanks in advance for your help!
