Detection zone automatically turning off

I have a wyze solar pan cam. The detection zone automatically gets turned off even after selecting the desired zone area. Also, both detection range and motion sensitivity gets reverted to default mid range after setting them to far and high respectively. The firmware is the latest. Could someone help me with resolving the issue? Thank you in advance for your time!!

What you’re describing reminds me of two other recent topics. In this first one, start at this post and read on:

I’m trying to perform the Rotate Image 180 and it’s not doing anything. The timestamp and logo settings under advanced are also not changing the live view. I’ve reset the device twice, closed the app, logged out of my account and tried a different iOS device. Just purchased Solar Pan Cam. It connects to the WiFi, I can see LIVE view along with Pan and tilting the camera, setup waypoints. I am not able to save any settings in the Wyze app. I noticed this first by trying to rotate the image 180 degrees. I can click the GEAR and go into the settings area… and change things, but it does not save the settings and there is no changes to the camera. In this second topic, the solution seemed to be contacting Wyze Support for direct assistance. Reportedly they were able to push a firmware update that resolved that user’s issue with Solar Cam Pan’s settings not saving.

Could someone help me with resolving the issue?

If you haven’t already done so, I’d submit a log from the app and then open a ticket with Support that references the Log ID you generate. If they seem confused about a possible resolution, then I’d also direct them to the second topic I linked above, because that seems to be the solution for now.

The firmware is the latest.

In the future, please note that stating the actual firmware version is probably more helpful to the community than saying “latest”. Because of the way Wyze has been phasing firmware distribution, what’s “latest” for you might not be the same version as for other users.

Thank you very much for your advice, Crease! The version I have is 20.0.0.1939 so I will contact Wyze to get a forced update/change in firmware. Thanks again!

Just letting you all know I was able to get the Tech support push a firmware update to 2.0.0.2041 and now I am able to change and save settings in the cam. Thank you team for your help. Appreciate you all!
