I’m not sure if this would help but I’ll tell my approach. My cameras consist of severalWyze with the RTSP software and some old obsolete phones running Camon , again using RTSP. Home assistant is running on a RaspberryPI and displays frequently updated thumbnails that when clicked become fullscreen live. This display is available on a browser on any device.
Another option is TinyCam on Android (for RTSP)
