I’m in a new job and the building has several OG Wyse cameras. I’ve downloaded the App and am trying to connect to the cameras. I press setup and hear “ready to connect”, but my phone cannot find the device.
Who is the Wyze account holder for those OG cameras? I’m guessing an owner/manager. Unless they delete the cameras from their account you won’t be able to set them up on your app.
With this statement it also sounds like you have messed the connection the true owner of the cameras has to his own Wyze account.
I thought the OG was like the v3 and could be added to a new Wyze account without being deleted from the first account.
OP, in the Wyze App are you selecting “Add a Camera” before pressing the Setup button on the camera? You should get a QR code in the App that the camera needs to aim at.
That’s not accurate for Cam OG, which uses Bluetooth. I think a significant unanswered question is the ownership of these cameras. Depending on the level of trust between whoever installed these Cam OGs and @scottthehandyman at this “new job”, the “correct” way to do it might be for the owner to send sharing invitations to @scottthehandyman, but I don’t think we have enough information yet to understand the nature of the problem.
