Complete Reset - Lockbolt

I purchased FIVE lockbolts for a construction project. The contractor had his son set them up with codes I provided. Now the units have sold and the new owners should be able to program the lockbolt however they want.
WYZE is telling me that it can only be done under the original email account used to set it up.
I have no access to that information, which renders these lockbolts useless - unless they can be reset to factory without using the email.
Can anyone help with this? I thought yanking the batteries out. Or pulling them out in pairing mode.
Has anyone been able to factory reset their lockbolt without using the email???
Really pissed that NOWHERE in the wyze set up instructions included with lockbolt, or on-line instructions does it reference this being an obstacle. I think WYZE should replace them because their materials fail to notify the user of something that seems like it cannot be overcome?
