When creating a schedule, the days of the week “on” mode is black letters on a gray background, while “off” mode is white letters on a green background.
These color schemes aren’t very intuitive to “on” and “off” and it’s not easy to remember which is which, so I always have to do a test run to make sure.
It would be great if there was a different, more obvious color scheme: for example, “on” is black on green, “off” is black on red. Alternatively, “off” days could have a slash through their circle.
If you’re talking about creating Schedule Automations, then I believe you may be misunderstanding the UI. As described in that link all days of the week are initially selected for “on”, meaning that the Automation will run on that day, so they display as white text on a green circle until deselected, at which point they change to black text on a grey circle. This has been my experience using the app with Theme set to System Default and with Dark theme enabled in Android’s settings.
If you’re actually seeing something else—you mentioned that you
—then I wonder if you’re using some setting on your phone that’s causing the colors to invert or render in a nonstandard way.
In any case, I agree that Wyze could do better when it comes to the use of color (and especially contrast) in their UI, and I hope they eventually figure out how to implement a dark mode/theme throughout the app.
