Can’t Send Videos on iPhone

They are corrupt in some way. I can’t sent them via iMessage, iCloud links or even over Facebook messenger. It isn’t every video though, just some of them. I’ve had this issue with videos from my v3 and v4 cameras.

How’s the signal at the cameras in question?

Signal on my cameras are excellent. All three bars and 10 feet away from an access point.

I started a support case and sent them logs from the cameras. This was their response.

We sincerely appreciate you for trying the troubleshooting steps and sorry if it still won’t work. We truly understand where you’re coming from and we know how important to get this fixed. Our Engineering Team has received the logs and is now looking into it. Currently, here on the Support Team, we don’t have an estimated time frame yet on when it would be fixed but rest assured that they’re doing their best to investigate the root cause of the issue and trying to come up with a fix at the fastest time possible.

Since they are an Offline Team, we won’t likely hear from them but they usually solve the issue by including the fix through firmware and app updates. For now, let’s check the app and firmware updates from time to time as it may contain the fix for the issue.

Thank you for your understanding with this. Have a safe and wonderful weekend!

Typical boilerplate response. I’m sorry this is happening to you. I am on iOS as well and can’t replicate your issue. I hope you find a solution pretty soon.

I’ve been literally having this issue for over a year. I don’t know what it is, but it didn’t used to happen. Are you still having the same issue coach

I’m still having the issue. When it’s a video that hangs and won’t play in the Wayze app I know it won’t send via iMessage or even Facebook messenger. The video will play on my iOS device if I download it.

I genuinely don’t understand why Apple allows the app on the app store. Well, I do. $$$. But still, an app (Wyze) that literally breaks one of Apple’s core services (iMessage) seems like something that wouldn’t make it through Apple’s famed walled garden.
