Can Pan Cam (v2) connect to an open WiFi?

I have a Pan Cam v2 that I need to relocate to another location. The WiFi at that location is an open access point which I have permission to use but cannot change the access point settings (2.4 Ghz, no security, no password). Will the camera connect to an open access point?

It didn’t used to allow that in the past.

Haven’t checked lately.

I guess I’m going to have to bring some kind of WiFi repeater or bridge to the remote location that can present a secure sign-on to the camera.
