I can’t decide what to believe. Can anyone please tell me for real whether the smoke and co detectors ar built in? Or is it only listening for home detectors?
They have built in NOISE SENSORS to detect smoke alarms and co detectors.
They don’t detect co or smoke by themselves.
Thank you very much. I figured as much! Since it’s outside, and there are parrots around and car alarms, mockingbirds, etc. I’ll disable them now.
Thank u
Also, it’s probable that they need to be modern detectors. I believe they trigger off a specific frequency.
Gemniii,
The camera uses the built-in microphone to listen for carbon monoxide and smoke alarms.

Isn’t that part of the noise sensing system? Along with the analysis of frequency.
Yes,
The sound is received from the microphone and analyzed by software.

There is an industry-standard sound signature (principally a frequency and pulse) for smoke alarms and another unique signature for CO alarms. The Wyze cameras listen for those two specific sound patterns to determine whether a smoke or CO alarm triggered.
