Hello Wyze, Perhaps you might solve some of the serious issues with our cameras and not work constantly on the bells and whistles. Every time I allow a firmware update, one of my cameras dies. I now have one CamPan v2 and one outdoor cam unable to connect for weeks. Is your firmware backward compatible? You seem unusually detached from these repeated problems. Dependability is the #1 feature for those of us depending on the cams while away from home. If they cannot be fixed, please refund $.

This is mostly a user to user forum. If you want to reach out to Wyze directly, go through their support page.
I would try a manual firmware update using the SD card on both cams (you can google the instructions and download the latest firmware from their page). A borderline wifi signal may work fine for video but can corrupt firmware install/upgrade, the SD card method should recover it if that’s the case.
How do I avoid this time intensive process every time you offer a firmware upgrade? If I simply avoid upgrading, what happens? What search do I use on Google?
I don’t offer firmware, I don’t work for Wyze. Like I said most people in here are fellow users.
Make sure the camera has a strong wifi signal when updating firmware, and also try not to go too long between firmware versions as trying to upgrade by several versions at once has caused some issues for others.
If you want you can disable firmware updates, but there is risk in that too, eventually you’ll probably have to update (and you’ll be trying to go many versions up), and in the meantime, you could be missing security fixes or other important things.
