Cameras wont connect to new wifi

Im changing from cable internet to tmobile. The cameras say cant connect to local network. I changed the setting in the gateway to be 2.4g only but they still won’t connect. Any ideas on what i could try?

Did you set the SSID and Password to be the same on the new WiFi as it was on the old WiFi? If not, are you trying to go through the setup process to reset the cameras to the new SSID and Password?
Check for the encryption and mode settings on the new WiFi.

I tried setting the SSID & password the same but they still wouldn’t connect. So i tried deleting the camera and doing the setup fresh. They still wouldn’t connect.

So i think the problem was/is with the cameras. Originally i was doing the cameras in the house - they’re easiest to get to - but they’re also the oldest (v1). I just tried doing the one over the back door (its a v3) and it connected. Tried one of the v1s again and still wouldn’t connect. So i think its time to scrap them (they’re 7 or 8 years old and were installed outside part of that time so I definitely got my money’s worth from them).

Is the issue possibly related to a WPA (or other) setting on the new gateway? I realize you said that you “definitely got [your] money’s worth from” the older cameras, but I’m stubborn enough to try messing with settings or other things if I think I can still get some use out of something. I think setting the gateway to have only the 2.4 GHz band enabled like you did can be helpful in some situations, and I’ve had to do that at times for some obstinate IoT devices in order to force my phone onto that band.
