I am paying for person Identification, on two of my cameras. Why can’t your supposed AI identify people like it once did for a brief period? It constantly identifies lighting changes and vehicles as people at night. I have Submitted numerous videos showing what is ID as people. I constantly have to play with the sensitivity settings so IDs people at all, even during the day! Why can’t this be fixed? Any help would be appreciated.
Have you checked to see if “other motion” is enabled? If it is, and it sees something it thinks might be a person, it can tag it as a person. Disabling that may help.
Thank you for the reply Dave. I will double check that. Advice is much appreciated.
It can get a bit confusing, I don’t have Cam Plus so I can’t see what the current iteration of the app looks like, but some have found they have to actually select “all motion” instead of “smart events” (counterintuitive) then go into the “customize” and uncheck “other motion” and any others they don’t want.
At one point, you were able to leave it set to “smart events only” on the events settings, but then go into notification settings and the customize screen there would let you uncheck “other motion”. But I don’t know if that is still the case or not. That method allowed you to disable tagging/recording and not just notifications.
Maybe someone with Cam Plus will chime in and confirm if #2 still works or not.
As @dave27 said. Look for the “other motion” setting. I belive it has been referred to as the “Hidden Setting”. As of a couple of months ago it was available in Cam Plus.
I know because I tried it a day before we had a red flag warning. With “other motion” selected, during the wind storm I had hundreds of events, over a 12 hour period. Needless to say I quickly turned that feature (?) off.
I double checked. It’s still there on Cam Plus.
