I have a wyze window camera, I had it set up and operating quickly. It worked fine for about 1 and 1/2 months then stopped picking up motions. I spent a lot of time with Wyze Support. The wizards could not figure out what the issue is. I received an replacement camera, same thing, picking up motions. Is anyone else having the same issue?
What exact Wyze camera model do you have aimed through a window?
Depending on the the sensor being used (pixel change or PIR), some models work better than others through windows.
The model is Wyze Window Cam.
It worked for a month plus, then stopped picking up motions. The same problem with the replacement Wyze Window Cam that was sent to me.
Have you checked in the App under Services and also check on wyze.com that the camera is still attached to your Wyze account and your Wyze Service?
In addition to checking your subscription (if you have a subscription) as @StevenA mentioned, also try hitting the “reset services” under the settings. Just note that after doing that reset, you need to go back to the motion detection settings and re-set them how you want them as that restores them back to default (and also re-synchs the cam with the Wyze servers).
Also can you confirm if it is not picking up motion (not logging anything under “events”) or if it is just not sending notifications?
Yes, I have Cam Plus. It is definitely not picking up motions.
OK, did you try the reset services? That frequently fixes this issue.
The other thing that comes to mind is if you’re using “smart detections” it can be a bandwidth or internet problem. It has to upload an image to wyze for analysis and if the wifi signal quality is poor or your internet upload can’t keep up, it can cause this too. But try resetting first.
