Camera Not On

It says device is offline.

I cut the power and turned it back on…didn’t help.

I restarted it…didn’t help.

I don’t know how to check the firmware version.

???

For a given camera, you can usually find this in the app by tapping into the camera’s Live Stream screen and then navigating to  Settings ➜ Device Info or from the  Home screen by navigating to  Account ➜ Firmware Update.

When was the last time you restarted/rebooted your Internet gateway/router/wireless access point? That’s another troubleshooting step I’d be likely to attempt.

Since your post isn’t really suggesting Tips & Tricks, I’d like to ask the Moderators to recategorize your topic in order to get better visibility on your issue. If you could share what camera model and app platform (Android or iOS) you’re using, that could be helpful.

I would definitely try to restarting your router. Often times they hold old addresses or different things and the connection is no longer there. Did you recently add any new devices to your network?
