Camera for animal behavior

I’m a researcher looking for a small powerful cam to carry out behavior studies of small animals (snails) and was wondering if the zoom and macro imaging of these cameras would be suitable for this purpose. The behavior arena will be about 12 x 12 inches, with camera mounted above them at about 12 inches. I’m wondering if that is too close. Any thoughts from those that use these or the development team.

If you can not find a camera off the shelf the will do what you want, you might experiment with swapping lens on a Wyze camera. Here is a video on how to swap the lens on a Wyze v3 camera.

You can buy one on Amazon and return it in 30 days if you don’t like it. See how it fits.
