Cam Plus Live View Events are only 3 seconds, not the minimum 12 seconds

Where are all the other OG owners with Cam Plus?
They should all be complaining too.
If there were a lot more OG complainers maybe Wyze would get off their butts and fix the problem.

Maybe there are not many OG owners depending on Cam Plus visiting this forum.

While I had already transitioned to Reolink, buying 8 additional cameras. I kept using my OG to cover my front yard. But with this Wyze failure to fix the problem, and the Animal/Person/Vehicle detection becoming totally useless over the past 6 months (animals would pass 6 feet under my camera with no Event recorded), I have cancelled my Cam Plus and replaced my OG with Reolink Lumus Pro.

Same here. I need it to record the entire length, especially when a suspicious car is parked just outside my driveway. The camera stops recording when the car stops moving leaving me with several 3 sec clips that are activated by other motion detections in the same field of view. I have to pull up the event on my SD card to see it from start to finish.

Yep same here :frowning:

I have cam plus lite on v2’s. They both only record 2-3 sec events now at max. I am assuming this is Wyze’s way of trying to get cam plus lite folks to pay.

I have Wyze Cam v3 cameras on Cam Plus Lite and am still getting 12 second Cloud video clips with a 5 minute cool-down between events.

I do have SD cards in all my cameras set to Continuous Recording in case I want to view more than the 12 second clips.

I have experienced the same issue. My work around is to use tiny cam pro. I can watch all my cameras live on tiny cam pro and now I get full recordings. I had tried tiny cam pro in the past and it did not work with the OG model but now it is working with it and it was easier to setup then it was in the past. I highly recommend the app and no I have nothing to do with the app or the developers. Just like how it fixed the issue. Also I find it more stable in live view then either the wyze app or website.

I have the same issue. When I contacted Wyze support they blamed my internet connection and did nothing else. However, there is truth to the Wyze Web Portal causing the 3-second recordings when cameras are accessed on a web browser. I contacted support again on 4/8/26 only for them to pretend they knew nothing about this long-running issue. I referenced this thread specifically so they could see that it has been since May 2025 that this has not been adequately addressed.
