Cable shorting out

I’ve been troubleshooting one of my Pan V2’s that started going offline, for no reason. Started by swapping it with another Pan V2. In the swapped location the first Cam did fine. The second one not so much. Then I swapped the power brick, was ok for 1 day, then started having problems. The camera runs for a couple of hours then goes error 90. I have ordered a replacement cable but it will still be a couple of more days before that gets here. Amazon Prime has gotten very cheesy lately and if I don’t use Amazon Day, once a week, I now have to pay a surcharge to get faster delivery. Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues where the cable is what went bad. When it starts acting up, there’s a frequent static noise coming out of the camera mic, as the camera tries to reboot itself, and it gives up after a couple of minutes with error 90. Resetting the cable usually brings it back, but only for a couple of hours.

I’ve had 2 cams exhibit the same symptoms as yours and it was due to corroded cable end when cam was located outdoors, but never indoors.

Thanks. I’ve never had an outdoor cable do this. This one was in my living room, nowhere near outdoor conditions. Fingers crossed, new cables will be here Tuesday.
