I have installed two cameras (Wyze Cam v4) high on the wall.
The camera is mounted next to the electrical socket where I have plugged in the power adapter. The long USB cable looks pretty ugly even though I have folded it nicely.
Does someone have a suggestion on how I can make everything to look neat? What do you guys use?
I prefer hiding everything and only leaving the camera visible.
Assuming drilling holes in the wall isn’t an option, your best bet might be to apply double sided tape to one side of the USB cable and run it as straight as possible down the wall. The alternative is to run it in one of those metal strips meant to hide wires but I feel like that may end up being uglier? You can google wiremold or wire channel to see what those options look like, and they’re usually paintable.
You might be able to find a USB-A to Micro USB cable in a color that more closely matches your wall too.
If you can drill a hole, you could probably do a pretty small one, small enough just for the micro USB plug, use something to fish it up the wall, then some grommets to make the holes look neater.
Thank you for looking into this. You’ve given me an idea. The option to drill a hole and shove the USB cable into it will do since everything is mounted on drillable panels which form a fake wall.
