i have a v3 right above the birdhouse but the sparrow spooker makes it difficult to see them leave. Last year I ran a 40 foot USB cable out in the backyard to get a different angle when they leave. Might do that again when the next brood is ready to fledge. I have a 32000 mAh USB battery that I will use instead of the cable.

I cleaned the birdhouse yesterday. This morning I had a bluebird checking out the house.

I’ve seen that with robins and wrens in my yard as well where the parents eat the bag (nature’s diapers) of baby poop. I guess nature doesn’t waste.

This dad made sure the entrance hole was the right size, went in, took a good look around, and cleaned up a bit. Soon he will bring mom to show her what he found. Since this birdhouse has had 3-4 broods each year, I think it is prime real estate.
I need to raise my rates.

Nobody home, 
Had a few tire kickers but no takers yet. In the past one of them will put a few pine needles in the house to mark it as taken so don’t think about moving in. Pine needles are one of their favorite nesting materials. We have 2 huge pine trees in the front yard. They were planted as saplings when my sons were in 1st grade. They are now over the top of the house and then some. So to say there are plenty of pine needles available would be an understatement.
I keep dried mealworms in the feeder, so there is a reliable food source.
There is a creek about 500 feet from my back yard.
I have a 12 foot red maple in the back yard about 100 feet from the bird house.
There is a 50 acre field right outside my back yard.
According to ChatGPT, everything the bluebirds need is within 500 feet of their house.
I can almost guarantee there will be a nest by the end of this week.
