Bluebirds 2025

We should deport all the Sparrows back to Europe and all of @habib’s Canadian Geese back to Canada.

I laughed at that, partly because of how they call 'em “Canada gooses” on Letterkenny.

Wayne on Letterkenny talking about “Canada gooses”

Give it couple more yers and no geese will fly down south. Nothing to do with the orange guy but mostly with climate changes. I see more and more geese in winter around here for the last few years. As longas they can see the grass on the ground they’d prefer to stick around

Edit: Let see if rephrasing this will have any bearing on the conversation. Unless the orange guy imposes tariffs on geese flight, they’ll keep on craping on your golf course

The sparrows make a nest, I throw it in the trash. If I throw it on the ground they pick it up and put it back.

If you build it I will destroy it. There was an egg in the nest this morning.

That’s why they kept getting it back in there so fast. She was ready to lay.

:angry_face_with_horns: birds.

Sometimes mom and dad sparrow are building the nest like a sandbagging operation. I have cleaned 4 nests so far today. Might just leave the open for a few days. They can build a nest someplace else.

Hey Marge, someone stole all the furniture!

I like the improvements you’ve made to the camera view (less obstruction, and I don’t mean the missing front wall). Hopefully you’ll get some more respectable tenants at some point.

I removed the partition to tweak the view hole. Still a work in progress.

Sparrows have built 3 nests today. Wonder where momma will lay her eggs with this house off limits?

Maybe not a Wyze camera, but here are some very cool bird feeder pictures.

Cool shots. I might have to try something different at my feeder now, haha.

The sparrows are relentless. I have removed at least 15 full nests.

I don’t want to remove the house because there are bluebirds eating from the feeder. I have tried leaving the door open but again, that keeps the bluebirds away too.

Now I am in revenge mode. I put some clear tape over the hole. Still keeps all the birds away but at least I can do a “muahahaha” when they try to get in.

The clear tape worked to keep the sparrows out, Had a starling poke its head in but that has been the only activity.

Let’s hope there’s no avian equivalent to HUD, eh?

I have removed 17 sparrow nests so far. Usually 2-3 per day. The bluebirds are still around because I see them in the feeder.
This appears to be a never ending battle. If I take the house down, the bluebirds will make a nest somewhere else.

Why don’t you let the sparrows make the nest and lay the eggs. Once they have the youngs they’ll fly away. They’re God’s creatures too
