My first outdoor Wyze has been extremely disappointing. Picture quality sucks. Appears to be black & white and is very pixelated. Never could get it keep a wifi connection so I have the base station wired to lan. About time to stop being cheap and buy a quality camera, I guess.
I don’t have an outdoor camera, but it sounds like you have it set to night mode which uses IR light and is black and white. Check the settings on the camera.

In the absence of details, we have to make some leaps. You might want to move the camera closer as in close, very close to the base station and see how that improves the pixelated image. Because it sounds like it currently too far away. If that helps, start moving it away to find the max distance before image is affected.
