Happy to share. Same here I always enjoy seeing birds that we don’t have here in Virginia as well.

Cool. I’ve ben seing Towshees lately, on the ground too. They’re pretty neat looking.

I get the thrashers too. When I came home today, I parked next to my front porch and one landed right next to me. By the time I grabbed my cell phone he flew off. I’m thinking of putting a cam on the ground like that too. What region are you in?

I live in Virginia.

Ah ok. Same region. I’m in NC.

The timid female Towee isn’t as bold as the male. I’ve seen her several times under the bushes in our flowerbed but never feeding with the male out in the yard.

Cool. That reminds me to put mine out, too. Forgot I have a couple of them.

Here in Wisconsin, I get Downy Woodpeckers, Chickadees and Nuthatches at my suet feeders. Every once in a while a finch or sparrow will give it a shot, but they are not made for those types of feeders.

I’ve been trying to capture a Downy Woodpecker today on my pan v2 but I guess they’re camera shy today. They are usually on the suet feeder regularly.

Mine are usually on the tree behind the feeding station.

Pretty nice kick-to-reveal move, hadn’t seen that before…

Yeah, it’s pretty neat isn’t it? A quick way to identify the Towee is with their unique backward kick.

Is the feeder repurposed? Really pretty.
