Lasts about 5 days. Should be a battery that last the advertised 6 months using every single option available.

Where does it advertise that it will last 6 months using “every single option”? The battery to support that would be massive and expensive. That’s why it is “up to” 6 months.
If you want to use it like a wired cam, you need to hardwire it.
Why are you telling fellow users to “do better”? We can’t do anything about it. I wish that phrase would just die out already.
