Battery Cam pro with no camplus. I seem to only get 12 second recording on the SD card. If I do a trial of cam plus, I can get up to 5 minutes of local recording when it detects motion. Is this really how this device is designed? aka: having to pay to record LOCALLY longer than 12 seconds??
Have you set the SD Card to continuous recording?
Doesn’t continuous recording = 247 recording? I’m running it off battery only.
Yes it does, so if battery only, then you do events only. I will need to check mine and see what the recordings are.
The battery cams need to conserve power so it is expected that some things will have limits. I was under the impression that it should record for as long as there is motion (maybe up to a certain max, but longer than 12 seconds), but I don’t have one personally. Hopefully @spamoni can confirm how his behave.

You would think being events only that it would record endlessly until motion stops. It seems to follow the cam plus settings, so you essentially get screwed if you don’t have it.
Cam plus doesn’t have a 12 second limit (lite did but that’s not related to BCP). So whatever it is, it is nothing to do with a subscription.
