App screen graphics

I hope the recent trend with Wyze app graphics doesn’t contaminate other areas of the corporate identity, like the website and packaging. First it was the change of the app splash screen from its clean, logo-only typographic design to something that looks like a garbage can blew up. Now I see my shortcut icons made to look like stars awarded to me on a test taken at grade school. What’s happening in the graphic design department? And keep them away from product design.
