It’s very clear that Wyze develops with Android in mind. It’s not surprising they’d be unaware of this. (The Wyze app is about the most un-iOS like app I have on my iPhone and it’s one reason I’ve stopped recommending their products to friends.)
We’re super sorry about that. We’re working on a fix and, if all goes to plan, there will be an app update later this week to prevent the popup from happening when it shouldn’t. Thank you for reporting this and for your patience.
If this really gets “fixed” I will be impressed. Most app developers don’t care and if they want your location for one particular feature/product that uses the app they force it on all users.
