After Android 15 upgrade on my Pixel 9 , I cannot communicate with my devices . 6 cameras and 2 vacuums . I have uninstalled and reinstalled the WYZE app but no help with this . It shows the bell on the top right of the app with a slash thru it . I did not put the slash there and cannot get rid of it .I chatted with an agent and they could not help me . Passed it onto others (to get an email about it in a day or two) . I was not able to get online with my devices . Then I thought to try again last night and I could see all of my devices . Hmmm. Well , this morning , again I cannot communicate with my devices . And the bell with the slash thru it is back . It seems I cannot communicate with/thru the app .
I would think it is an issue with Android 15 , but WYZE says “No” . They have no problem with Android 15 . everything was fine with Android 14 .
anyone else have this problem ??/
I have a Pixel 9 pro with Android 15 and am not experiencing any issues. I do know that you need to set the correct permissions in order for things to function, including the Nearby Devices one.
I actually allow all, but some are set for when I am using the app.
Check the permissions and see if Nearby devices is set
Running a VPN?
I am chiming in just for reference. I am on Android 15 on a Pixel 6 Pro. Wyze (and every other App) is working perfectly for me but I am still on Wyze App version 2.50.
Good move.
Or good you didn’t move.
Now I have rebooted “everything” again for the third time ). Uninstalled the app , reinstalled the app , powered Pixel 9(not a pro , just a pixel) off/on . Powered all devices off/on. Power modem and Router off/on (Spectrum) . I have done this 3 times before , but now it seems to work for me . Not sure why . Will have to wait and see if this really cures my issues , Hopefully . Thanks for replying .
Is this happening on wifi or mobile data? if one or the other, can you try the other connection method? Disable wifi and try on mobile. Try other wifi networks maybe…?
I know many on the Wyze Forum like to live on the Cutting Edge, so I you might be interested in this article.
I don’t trust my knees near the edge. I am still looking forward to Android 15 OUI 7.
