I had installed three cameras and all of them are dead within 4 months of installation. Customer service is virtually nonexistent. So, I am switching to Ring cameras.
Ring has the same level of customer support, just harder to reach a human..
If you had 3 cameras all die within 1/3 of a year… what was the common factor? Did you install them under a rainspout or something?
Good luck. I find motion detection on Ring to be better, but the ability to connect on demand to a camera is worse. Hopefully they’ll survive whatever killed your 3 Wyze in such a short time.
Were the old devices, or did you choose not to claim them under warranty?
If your cameras are only 4 months old, have you tried contacting Wyze through some of the methods listed on this thread?
Welcome to the forum @hroychow .
Hope your luck improves. I must have been lucky. I have multiple cams and had no issues since 2019.
Maybe you got a bad batch?
Try Reolink cams, no subscription needed.
There is no common factor. One that went first faced my driveway, and the other faced my front yard both are under the soffit. No water. We live in one of the driest areas. The third to go is the indoor one. When the first one went, I tried reaching some form of support. Nothing doing.
I am also enrolled in a yearly plan of some sort that I tried to cancel. No luck there either.
I had not used them since I bought them a few years back. So, they, I assume, are out of warranty.
They worked fine as long as they did. But the outdoor ones worked only for a total of four months.
What model of camera do you have?
Warranty covers one year. Did they sit in a box for 8 months before using?
