Thanks for sharing all you do. I am converting my old 2 wire millivolt wall furnace to the Wyze.
Thought I’d start a new thread in case anyone was searching for this topic. Testing before I put it in. Measured all wire voltage combinations when heat is called and when it is idle.
Switch works properly and turns on when heat is called and turns off when temp is reached. Side note. I did have to set a temp compensation as the thermostat was high by about 3 degrees F.
When heat is called the switch activates, however it gets warm. All Wires are cold to the touch so it’s not the wires heating up. Photo shows 103F, but when I press the thermometer up harder it’s gets to 110F / 43C and max’s out around 15 min. I am measuring the case temperature but with an oven thermometer, since it’s all I had handy. It’s warm enough where it’s could be considered uncomfortable.
I’ve never used an isolation relay before but curious if this seems normal. Also there is no spec from vendor. The switch is a cheap ($10) from Amazon. Part# 90370. brand is LVACODV. Attached a diagram how it’s hooked up. I also realize the switch won’t be on for long periods of time. Maybe I just worry too much. I’ll probably mount this on a small metal piece sink when I attach to the wall.
Since I am new I can only post one photo so I combined two photos into one
